Welcome

 

The Office for Research Information Systems (ORIS) provides IT and business analysis services to the departments within UCLA's Office for Research Administration (ORA), Office of Intellectual Property-Industry Sponsor Research, and Research Policy and Compliance. In addition, ORIS builds and maintains critical research enterprise systems that are utilized campus-wide. ORIS works integrally with ORA leaders and RAPID (Research Administration Process Improvement & Deployment) work groups to design and implement solutions that impact the university's research community.

 

ORIS strives to be an efficient, effective and professional IT organization, leading in research administration solutions, business processes and technology. Its mission is to:

  • Deliver strategic technological solutions to achieve the business objectives of UCLA’s research enterprise.
  • Improve service, compliance and efficiency in research administration processes.
  • Design and operate the technology infrastructure for ORA.
