System Access


This page provides information on obtaining access to PAMS and on accessing PAMS through on and off campus networks.


Users will be granted access to PAMS once your department has been rolled into PAMS. 

If you have a new staff member who needs access to PAMS, please complete the New User Request Form. 

If you need to remove a users’ access, please complete the Remove User Request Form.

If you need to change a users’ role in PAMS, please complete the Change User Role Request Form.



PAMS Department User Roles

There are two system roles that can be assigned to department users in PAMS. The table below summarizes functionality to help determine the roles to assign to each user.

 Dept Admin

 View individual worklists



 Prepare, upload, and approve closeout packets
 (view linked closeout packets including payroll and non-payroll transactions)



 View financial reports and invoices



 Access to all funds in the cluster



 View worklist for entire cluster



 Manage assignments for cluster





On Campus Access

If you are on the UCLA network, you can access PAMS directly. You must have a UCLA Logon ID.



Off Campus Access

If you are using a PC and are trying to log in from off campus you must create a Bruin Online VPN here:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the configuration for your specific operating system.
  2. Follow the step-by-step instructions and screenshots provided.

Once you are connected to the UCLA network via VPN, you can then login to PAMS using your UCLA Logon ID.


If you are using a Mac (iMac, MacBook Pro/Air, Mac Pro/Mini, etc.) and are trying to log in from off campus please use the following link:

Select the appropriate operating system and follow the Configuration Instructions.
Once on the UCLA network, you can login to PAMS using your UCLA Logon ID.

System Availability

  • 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays
  • 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on other days
  • System will be down from 11:45 p.m. (6:00 p.m. on Thursdays)  to 7:30 a.m. for updates, maintenance and Financial System and QDB processing.
